INBED: The 2D Virtual Girlfriend

Are you lonely and don't have a girlfriend? Do you want an imaginary girlfriend to sleep beside you on your bed? Then INBED seems to be your ideal bedmate. Though this sounds spooky enough to me, if you are really lonely and need to have somebody lying beside you, then you don’t need to look further.

INBED works by having a projector on the ceiling beam an image of a lady down in that empty space on a double bed.

What makes the INBED impressive is that it has infrared sensors that can detect the position of the live person in bed, and adjust the virtual person accordingly. In other words, the virtual girlfriend will adjust her position to snuggle with you, spoon with you if you lie on your side, and even react to kisses by burying her face in a pillow.

I have a feeling somebody out there is lonely and in dare need of a companion, real or imagined. Will this fulfill the desire for a real or 3D girlfriend? Well, as the saying goes, 2D girlfriend is better than none.
